Old Pultney Celebrates with the Elite of Scottish Business
Old Pulteney Single Malt Scotch Whisky, was delighted to support this year’s prestigious Insider Magazine Elite Awards, which were held last Thursday in the opulent surroundings of the Edinburgh’s impressive Prestonfield Hotel.
More than four hundred of Scotland’s most influential decision makers from the worlds of business, finance and public services attended the lavish gala dinner and awards ceremony. The coveted awards were presented by leading television journalist John Suchet, while the guest speaker, Sir Richard Needham - the man credited for restoring Northern Ireland’s business sector - inspired guests with his unique insight into innovation within business.
Old Pulteney was delighted to partner with Insider Magazine for the first time as a sponsor of the distinguished Elite Awards, and was pleased to provide not only financial support but also its award-winning single malt for guests to enjoy at the welcome drinks ceremony and as after dinner drams. Winners were also presented with exclusive, engraved Old Pulteney decanters in recognition of their achievements.
The Elite Awards truly represents excellence in Scottish business as all winners are nominated and selected by their peers. The following recipients were rewarded for their outstanding work throughout 2007:

· Bank of Ireland Businesswoman of the Year Award - Fiona Morton, Ryden
· Scottish Leadership Foundation Public Service Leader Award - Alan Wilson, Scottish Council for Development & Industry
· Fujitsu Services Young Business Leader Award - Eddie Hawthorn, Arnold Clark Automobiles Ltd
· Standard Life Insider Readers' Award - Jim McColl, Clyde Blowers
· Elite Leader of the Year Award - Sandy Crombie, Standard Life
