Old Pulteney Pairs Up To Wow World Duty Free
Old Pulteney Single Malt Scotch Whisky – known as the Genuine Maritime Malt and recognised as one of the world’s finest whiskies – has unveiled an exciting product development, created specifically for World Duty Free.
A beautifully-presented limited edition ‘pairing’ of Old Pulteney has been specially produced to appeal to the travel sector, ahead of the Tax Free World Association (TFWA) World Exhibition in Cannes this October. Two magnificent 23 year old whiskies, one matured in ex-bourbon casks and the other wholly ex-sherry, are now exclusively on sale in airports around the world.
Chosen by Distillery Manager, Malcolm Waring, this is the first time that parent company, Inver House Distillers has presented any of its whiskies in this innovative way; contrasting same-year, different-cask Old Pulteney to perfectly illustrate the influence of cask selection on maturation, impact on flavour and the ability of distinct elements to create unique and exceptional malts.
Iain Baxter, Brand Manager of Old Pulteney explains:
“This new release is part of our ongoing ambition to keep introducing new and interesting expressions of Old Pulteney. One of our main focuses, as we continue to expand the Old Pulteney range, is to encourage consumers to try different ways of experiencing our whisky. We’re very excited about the Old Pulteney ‘pairing’ concept as it not only prompts the drinker to consider the ways in which the whisky has developed but it also presents a unique offer to the duty free market, which is an important area for our business and one that we are keen to invest in.”
Designed to complement one another but also to be strong stand-alone products, both Old Pulteney 23 year olds feature impactful packaging – a crafted and lined wooded box with 8-page booklet explaining the influence of wood on whisky maturation, ensuring stand-out on duty-free shelves.
Both Old Pulteney 23 year olds will be showcased at the TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes from 22-26 October.
