This is really great because not only will underage sales be reduced because the employee will have proper training, but it also protects the business from fines and the like, helping the economy.

Looks like they're going to sponsor some 500 employees from small and medium sized alcohol retailers and help them to get their BIIAB Level 2 Award in Responsible Alcohol Retailing. They are doing this because these firms normally can't justify the expense of training their staff, whereas larger companies and corporations can do so. SABMiller is calling this their "Scholars Programme" and are running it in coordination with BIIAB, the awarding body of BII, the professional body for the licensed retail industry.
Looks like another step in the right direction, huh?
