For all those not living in or commuting to London, you can either ignore this post, or have a laugh at our expense. I think they call it schadenfreude.
For us poor saps being hit by the Tube Strikes, we're seeing chaos as commuters try and get to and from work. It took me nearly two hours to get to Fluid Central after being stuck in a bus; definately not happy.
During 7/7 bombings, I was living much closer and I noticed while walking home in the sunshine many more people swapping stories enjoying a nice, cold beer sitting in various bars and cafes. Many more than usual.
So my question de jour: are all the bars, and restaurants losing foot traffic during this trying time, or are we also gaining a few extra people who pop in "on their way home"?
What do you think?
